I'm glad you liked Chris' POV and I think the only way to really explain why she's doing what she's doing is because of jealousy and envy. She is more geared toward hurting Elijah because he can do for Sean what she couldn't do anymore. However, Sean's pain is just an inevitable byproduct of her attempts to hurt Elijah.
