Football PDA--The Best Kind!
Title: Public Displays of Affection
Paring: Miroslav Klose/Lukas Podolski
Summary: Lukas is very affectionate, especially toward Miro.

Every match it always starts out innocently. A fist bump here, an ecstatic high five there. Sometimes even a shouted endearment in Polish when one calls to the other across the pitch. But when the goals keep coming it escalates and Miroslav ends up with a near body slam and an armful of euphoric Lukas. There are times when Miroslav doesn’t quite know how to respond to the shower of affection, usually he opts for being the passive recipient, more controlled with simply a smile. The younger man pounces, screaming in Miroslav’s ear and pressing frantic kisses to the side of his neck. Warm hands grasping and pulling at skin and fabric—wanting to be closer, inside one another—until play resumes and Lukas pulls away with his usual megawatt grin.
Occasionally there will be a delay in Lukas’ reaction, a pause for the rest of the team to congratulate Miroslav first. But then, at the very end, he comes sauntering over with a soft smile and big blue eyes. Arms extended, Lukas drags Miroslav into a long, lingering hug. The contact is more subdued, intimate and revealing—nothing like the outbursts of adrenaline that initiate the proverbial man-pile.
In the locker room at halftime Lukas is always there, right along side Miroslav.
When they are behind, he slides up next to the older man. Their hands find one another quickly and tangle together. Lukas massages patterns into the muscles of Miroslav’s palm. Miroslav moves to the edge of the bench and angles his body to shield the contact from the rest of the team while retaining his composure and focusing on Jogi. Lukas is too absorbed in the touch, too anxious to listen and relies on Miroslav to tell him the plan for the second half when they get back on the pitch. It’s the only way he knows how to cope with the time bomb of another forty-five minutes to find the net.
When they are tied, Lukas settles down bedside Miroslav. His back is a little straighter and he keeps his hands to himself. Lukas presses as close to the older man as possible, ensuring contact from rounded shoulder to thigh. The heat coming off Miroslav is enough to calm the jittering sensation in the pit of his stomach. Lukas listens closely to every word.
When they are leading, Lukas is practically in Miroslav’s lap. His face is a permanent grin, eyes alight and full of laughter. The joy is contagious and Miroslav can feel the corners of his mouth pulling up in a small smile. Miroslav relaxes against Lukas, leaning back a little. He slides an arm around the younger man’s waist, fingertips brushing up under the other’s kit to skim along hipbones. Lukas laughs into the juncture of Miroslav’s neck and shoulder when Bastian comments on Jogi’s ‘brilliantly matched’ sweater and scarf combo this evening. With one arm hooked around Miroslav’s neck, Lukas watches Jogi speaking but does not hear a thing.
On the bus rides back to the hotel Miroslav is reminded of how much younger Lukas really is—the way his face opens as he snuggles close to the older man. Lukas’ hair is still damp from the shower and sticking up in all different directions. Miroslav can hear the low beat of some Polish rap blaring from the earbuds haphazardly jammed in Lukas’ ears. He carefully moves his arm to wrap it around Lukas’ shoulders, pulling him a bit closer. Lukas fidgets in his seat, twisting around to use the other as a human pillow. Miroslav smiles to himself when he feels a warm hand splay across his chest, fingertips curling around the collar of his warm-up. Miroslav turns and presses a kiss to the side of Lukas’ sleeping head.

I want to write something, believe me. But for the moment I'm not sure what. Tbh, I actually did think about a huge WWIIAU for all our boys, but I feel really, really weird about that. I don't think Miro would appreciate ending up in an SS-uniform just to feed my sick imagination. ;)
Real world ... I'm not sure what to do with Miro and Poldi. Or with Ballack/Frings, or Schweini/Lahm, for that matter, to name the other pairings I love. I need some ideas before I can get started.
(Unless I just wrote Khedira/Jansen celebration porn after the Uruguay match. ;))

Yay! Oh there is so much you could write about, I know you'll come up with something wonderful. Oh yes, this is painfully true. Good call, it would be very awkward to negotiate boundaries with a story like that...However, if you need someone to bounce ideas off of I am more than willing to help! Especially with Miro and Lulu and Ballack and Frings and Schweini and Lahm because, honestly, they are all pretty stellar pairings!!! It would be easy to do something set back with at least all four (Miro, Lukas, Lahm and Basti) were playing for Bayern...oooh and either happy times when Lukas made the transfer or sad times when Lukas peaced out to go back to Cologne...don't know...but I'll listen if you have ideas! :D

For the moment I don't even have enough ideas to bounce them off, I'm just sitting there, drooling and thinking of porn. ;) But I hate writing completely pointless porn, so I need at least some sort of interesting set-up. "I want to see these hot guys in SS-uniforms" is not good enough to get me writing, unfortunately. ;)
Frings/Ballack are really fascinating. I don't know, do you speak German? Because I found a wonderful interview with the two of them which I'd love to share, but it's in German. ^^
He and Miro must have had an argument when Lukas left. :( I can imagine the angst ...

Thank you very much! Can I briefly take you up on that offer right now? Okay, real quick: I have put the other two fics on pause because I was bitten by this other idea. I'm doing one of those '5 Times' things...so it's 5 Times Miro and Lukas Didn't Meet--meaning 5 alt realities in which Miro and Lukas encounter one another. They all are pretty normal (like what if one played for Poland NT instead of Germany, if Miro was still just a carpenter, etc.) but they start getting more out there as the list goes on...the only one I'm really unsure about is the last one. So I'd like to know what you think--it's an au in which Miro is a Catholic priest who has served as Lukas' confessor over the course of 2 years (from when Lukas is 18-20) until something changes in their dynamic and Lukas confesses his feelings for Miro. I'm a bit anxious but really intrigued by the idea...so I was wondering what you think--is it too offensive or am I totally over thinking this and not correctly understanding my audience...I'm a bit lost on this one...
Haha, yeah it's hard to get past that stage when they are all so beautiful. Yeah, I know what you mean--it also can be kind of annoying to read (and I know I'm probably in the minority for believing this) pure porn with out some kind of plot. The plot makes the porn hotter, at least that is what I think. But when you do start having ideas please, please feel free to use me as a sounding board!
I think I need to learn more about Frings and Ballack's history cause they seem like a very interesting pair but I don't have enough information on them to fully understand their dynamic--just what people have told me about them. Unfortunately I took Spanish as a kid and throughout high school and I did not realize my great love for Germany until it was too late. I'm trying to teach myself a bit (but I'm also learning ancient Greek so lots of languages) but it was really helpful that I got stuck in Berlin this year due to the volcano, so more exposure to bits and pieces.

Sometimes I can enjoy pure porn, if it's creative and really well written, but most porn is just average, and then it definitely needs a story. But when I write, I just need some sort of idea to keep myself interested, instead of writing an exchangeable sex scene that could feature any two characters.
I don't know that much about Frings and Ballack, but the bit I know is enough to love them to bits already. I just read an interview with the two of them, and they're bantering and bickering like an old married couple, it's incredibly sweet.
If you ever need help with your German, be sure to tell me. ;) Argh, ancient Greek, I took that at school, but I never grew to love it. Unlike Latin, which I absolutely adore.

I want to warn you that it is really rough and disjointed at this stage and still needs to be fleshed out but I wanted to see what you think and if I'm on the 'right' track.
